Yesterday I was comparing my drag radials to my street tires. They are 255-50/16 MT ET Street Radials and 275-40/18 Nitto NT555s. They look like they are the same width even though the MTs should be 20mm narrower. Weird.

 

Good to know for sure, I figured being DR's they would run wide...let us know how you like those I think Im ditching the ET Streets for a set of these.

 

it should be somewhat similar actually.. one is a 50 series tire while one is a 40 series tire.. research tire sizes.. you should come up with a few mm difference when you do the math..

 

Just from messing around on the street a little bit I can tell that they hook freakin HARD!


Im glad that I didnt go with the 275-40/17 drag radial. That probably would have been too much tire.

 

yeah.. my buddy has the et streets on his cobra.. much improvement from what he was running.. but with 600+ rwhp he still has trouble hooking up...
