Default Least heavy set of wheels in 18 or 19s? I searched already

and I didn't find anything ref. which set of rims are the lightest out there?

I am assuming that Volk has the lightest set of rims on the market but I am not 100% sure. The least heavy set of rims I have found thus far are 18 lbs per rim.....anyone have anything which is lighter which does not cost $1k per rim?

In 18", the NISMO wheels, Volk LE37/TE37 wheels are in the 17-18 lb range, especially if you stick to the 8-9" widths. You can get a set of 18" NISMOs for around $1800 on eBay. Volks will cost you around $2300.

In 19", you're looking at about 2-3 lbs more per wheel and about $200-$300 more for a set.

like said above in 19's your best bet is gonna be the LE37/TE37 series, and the same for 18's

Advan TCII (18") is in the 17lb range. These babies use Enkei's hallow core technology. There is a bunch of sponsors clearing these out at insane prices.

so if I am really trying to save weight then stick with 18s? That is fine I didn't like the idea of the tire cost for 19s anyway.

225/40/ 18 up front
245/40/ 18 rear....does

link to volk rims for sale?

I got my Volks from Status Auto Design, a sponsor on this board (member name is "status"). Check out the MarketPlace->Vendors->Wheels forum, you will see posts by most if not all of the sponsors.

Most people up-size the tires when going to aftermarket rims. You would do something like 245/40/18 and 275/40/18 if I remember correctly.

Wow. That is really light for a cast wheel. Anyone know the weight of the Super Advan Racing Ver. 2 in 18x9 & 18x10? I was looking at this wheel but then decided against it since it isn't forged.

Sorry about the multiple posts... got stuck on the "server busy" hangup.

The forged/cast thing has been discussed before in this thread.

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....ght=ssr+wheels

This is a MUST read IMO.

Just know this when questioning the integrity of a company. If you see these wheels on time attack/Super GT (JGTC) vehicles... then they gotta be good. In Super GT, some of the cars use Enkei wheels, which actually does the manufacturing of Advan wheels for Yokohama. SSR is another brand which is used by some of the Zs in Super GT.

Wheels like the TCII IMO are vastly underated in the 350z community just because they lack the 19" variety, and don't have a lip, and are supposedly inferior because they are cast.

If you're gonna get this wheel, get the GT-R face. It's gonna cost you though. These are some of the most expensive non-magnesium 18" racing lightweight wheels out there.

Sorry, editing this one too for the "server busy" hangup...

Anyway, you know what a good idea is... is to start a "wheel weight" thread complete with pics and scale... sorta something like the following. Of course, some honesty by not f'n with the zero adjuster will be appreciated.

luckily, I weighed my wheels before I slapped the buggers on: Advan RGII (18x9+22F;18x10+25R;Gold)

Front wheel: 19.2lb

Rear wheel: 19.8lb

Taken off the Waianae coast. This background is sort of deceiving for those thinking that this is a "nice" neighborhood... seriously.
