Default Torn between two tires.

BFG T/A KDW or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, looking for 275/35/19 need both wet and dry traction for my daily driver. Thanks for the input.

The Goodyear F1 GS-D3 won the Tire Shootout that Car and Driver did a few months ago, you can find the article on the Car and Driver website and searching there for "tire shootout", I don't think the BFG was in the test though. Also, I like the look of the Goodyear better but, that's just my own $.02.

Price wise, i would go with the KDWs. If money is no object, get the F1s. I have only heard good things about both. As quick as these tires go though, I'm not sure you want to be sending $1k+ a year since you are daily driving the car. You cannot go wrong with either choice. Good Luck!

I really like my Eagle F1's {except for the price}. I'm on my 3rd set.

KDW-NT, good combination of treadwear and performance. I've gone 7k miles on these guys so far with no noticeable wear. I expect they'll last at least 40k miles at this rate.

^^ The BFG tires in that report are the old model / old tread. Stick with the new tread (KDW NT or KDW2) and you'll be fine.

I've got the goodyears on the rear (still have the stock tires on the front) and am very happy with them.

I'm not sure what I'll do when my fronts need replacing since goodyear do not make a tire the right size for my front (04 Touring 18" wheels).

I know it's not the tire you're asking about but, have you considered PS2s? They are great, awesome treadware for a ultra HP tire. In the rain they are great as well. Just something else to consider.

I'd go with the F1 if you have the funds. Otherwise, the KDW2 is a great alternative at a lower price point...

i went with 255/45/18's R and 245/40/18 F with my touring wheels. works perfect.

also i vote for the goodyears. love the tires
