wow...looks like LE's with the polished lip.

Looks great, but kind of negates the point of being super light track wheels being that size...

Do the spokes look wider/bigger, or is that just me?

If you guys saw my thread from yesterday, https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-tires/212118-volk-re30-and-20-in-te37.html,
these TE's will only weigh in right around 22 pounds which is lighter than the factory NISSAN 06 GT and Track 19x10. The purpose of this wheel was not for the concaveness, but for LIP

I like how "Volk Racing" is in the cast, instead of being a sticker

Default 20's

Why does everyone think that 20's are so horrible but you all run 19's. It's one inch. It's not like you are all running 17's or evn 18's with a 2 or 3 inch difference. Besides if the car was set up right I don't see how someone with 19's will run better than someone with 20's. I think the whole purpose of getting 19's is to get as close to 20's as possible without getting flamed for having 20's, otherwise everyone would stay with stock size. Most people don't even track there cars they just want them to look nice. I didn't buy my Z to race every little turd on the street or track I bought it because for the money you get a great car. I am not against 19's and not agaionst 20's either. Besides this whole board has 19" Volks. Boring. I love the look of Volks but **** if everyone has them what's the point. I have never ran track so can't speak from experience but I can't think 20's would be too bad when grand prix cars run huge *** wheels.

Sorry for the rant...does anyone have anything knowledgeable to say regarding the 19's vs. 20's besides personal opinion?

3 lbs of unsprung weight in the worse area possible(the edge of the wheel) is a big deal.

Excuse my ignorance but that weight affects how you corner on a track??? Not trying to start a debate just looking for sensible knowledge.

Thanks

wikipedia
Effects of Unsprung Weight
The unsprung weight of a wheel controls a trade-off between a wheel's bump-following ability and its vibration isolation. Bumps and surface imperfections in the road cause tire compression--which induces a force on the unsprung weight. In time, the unsprung weight then responds to this force with movement of its own. Because the force the same, if the weight is more then the movement is less; conversely, if the weight is less then the movement is more. A (lighter) wheel which readily moves in response to road bumps will have more grip when tracking over an imperfect road. For this reason, lighter wheels are often sought for high-performance applications. In contrast, a (heavier) wheel which moves less will not absorb as much virbration; the irregularities of the road surface will transfer to the cabin through the geometry of the suspension and hence ride quality is deteriorated

Pikespeak, it's just not worth it on these boards. There are countless super high performance cars with 20 inch wheels. It's about time Volk starting coming out with more of them.

Awesome wheels Andy!

Are the 20" the only ones that will come like that? Any word on a special edition 19"?

nothing wrong with 20's just as long as they are not bling bling spinning 20's
