Default Widest tire I can fit on my OEM 03 touring 18s?

Looking to put something wider out back. Stock tires out back are 245s. Anyone know if I can go wider? Thanks!

On stock wheels you are screwed...you are stuck with the 245/45R18s...your wheels out back are only 8" wide. You could put a 255/45R18, but that'd be all tall and would screw up your drive-train. Plus the sidewall would be so fat and ugly. You have to go bigger wider wheels to get wider tires that would look good.

appreciate the quicker response. Thanks for you help. Was debating putting some better rubber out back....but I guess I'll have to annie up and buy some damn wheels. There went the sleeper look.....damn nitrous can't keep the tires planted.

255/45/18-245/40/18 here. absolutly no problems, here is a pic to show how *far off* the drivetrain is on the rears compared to stock. remember you do not want more than a 3% difference.

Ok I also have the stock OEM 18" Touring rims. What is the widest? I do not understand the chart.

Can I go 245/40/18's front and 275/40/18's back? Or should I stick with the stock tire size?

Did I just answer the question above?

The objective of the chart is to insure that the rear tires are about 10mm taller than the front. It makes VDC happy.
