would 295-35-18's in the rear make an NA Z slower?

i think the answer to this question boils down to what you attend to do with the car and how much power are you making NA. If your making decent hp and plan on making quick times in a srait line I think that you will be ok. What good is a fast car that can not get the power to the ground. On the other hand if handling is your primary concern i would search and consult some of the guys on here that like to race on road courses. I have seen some bad a$$ set ups on this website.

I'm awaiting delivery of my NT03+M's with 265/35/18F, 295/35/18R. I don't really have an go fast goodies at this point but FI may be in my future, so I decided to get wheels/rubber for the long haul.
I'll post my impressions (as to whether or not the car feels slower) of them once they arrive (I'm having a hard time waiting).

I am running 295/35 rear and 265/35 front with hotchkis sways set to full stiff front and rear. It handles very nice, maybe even just a slight bit of oversteer on corner exit.
Oh yeah....+1 on the 295/40's being to tall compared to 265/35 up front...stock is a 2.7% difference front and rear, running 295/35 and 265/35 is a 3.3% difference, but 295/40 and 265/35 would be a 7.9% difference (a full 2" difference in diameter)

I got them from Discount Tire. I can't believe how ****ing wide they are!! Hopefully I'll get a chance to put them on tomorrow.
UPDATE: Got my new wheels and tires installed today, see this thread > https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....12#post2805012
The car doesn't feel any slower to me, this thing corners like an animal now! Still need to upgrade the factory sways though.
