Question What is the max size tires for stock '06 rims?

Hey guys,

My wealth of knowledge on tires and sizes is not very good. I got stock rims/tires for my 06 Z. Its 235/40/18 front and 245/40/18 back. What is the max tire size I can fit on my stock 06 rims? These rims are the same as the 35th anniversary ones btw. Does anyone know if my front rims are a different size than my rear ones in terms of width?

Are you sure it is 235 in front or 225?

06 is 225/45 and 245/45. 45 series, not 40.

Be careful with the tire diameter that you get. I stayed with the factory size on my new tires. I read that different sizes can throw off the TCS possibly. I can't say for sure what new sizes would be good but I would say to maintain the difference in diameter between your front and rears that the car came with.

i have 245/45/18 in front and 275/40/18 out back, but when i get my car back, im upgrading the rear to 315/40/18, ive seen gyus runnin as big as 335/40/18 out back, it depends on what type of rim u got, and if u want to roll the fender or not, but on the stock 06 rim, i would see no prob gettin something close to 305/40/18 on there, w/out rollin the fender

Usually you can add 20 mm to the width. For example, go 245/45 (front) and 265/45 (rear).

That sounds about right for the stock '06 rims. Does anyone have this setup on an '06 Z with stock rims?

Agree. OEM width plus 20mm is safe.
