As much as I think it's ugly and dislike the idea of "pictures on my wheels"...

This would be the sportscars answer to spinners.

How come sportscars don't have chrome wheels and spinners....it's not because of their looks, it's because they are heavy and degrades performance. If chrome wheels and spinners could be lightweight, I'm sure lambos would come with them as original equipment. (OK maybe not the spinners.)

Now, if all this mod entails is putting led lights in your wheels and a tiny processor somewhere in your car...this is a lightweight mod. Hence...something thats made for sportscars. In fact, didn't this start out in F1 racing as a new place to put advertisements? If it detracted from performance, I don't think they would have allowed it (even if it was a paid sponsorship.)

So...not my cup of tea...but I think that the LED lights would be a mod better suited for sportscars than other things you could fill your wheel wells with.

Spend the money on performance mods. Those things will just add too much weight to the your car.

Dude, that will totally match my wifebeater, baggy jeans, and hat cocked slightly east. I'm going to put that on my Civic tomorrow. I don't have to worry about the unsprung weight, Ive got at least 1000whp worth of stickers, plus an intake and exhaust. that puts me at 1.2 million whp. Which wheel does the horsepower go to? Thats not important. What is important is that my wing could lift a 737, which adds enough downforce for me to ignore any handling issues. Plus, I have cut springs, so I can really feel the road, you know? These rims will add enough power for me to surpass the speed of light, and go back to a time before my civic was made. And that time was 1994.

I stated it wasn't for me, and then I stated why it would be a better mod than chrome or spinners.

Don't know what the problem is with that statement...

Think of it as high-tech stickers.
Neither would hurt performance.
Neither will increase performance.
They are just a choice made by some.

Myself, I would rather spend the $9K on CF wheels (which have recently come to market). But I don't have $9K to spend on wheels so It's a moot point...

No, no.
You are all thinking subjectively.
You are thinking about how it looks. (Which is fine because this mod is totally for looks.)

I was just offering a different perspective. One that is not subjective.
IE: Does it positively or negatively effect performance.

You can't measure how it looks because that is subjective, but you can measure how much hp or weight you gain or lose. And compared to chrome and spinners which add much weight to your vehicle, these are a winner because they add relatively nothing.

Just looking at things with an analytical eye.
Sorry if my analytical eye actually pursuades a Z owner to buy this.
If that happens, they you can crap all over me for devaluing all our Z's.

Yeah, those things are hideous, no reason for anyone with taste to get them, but we all know we'd just be putting **** on them if we had them.

haha i saw this before... be smart and do what i did... if you want to go a cheaper route for this.. steal a budlight sign out of a bar and tie it to your rim. Then you can tell people you are a race car driver sponsored by bud light, and someone might give you a free beer!

i think the rims the OP posted are lame.
