Widest tires on track rim
I've searched and couldn't find an exact answer.
Can anybody tell me whats the widest I can go on the track model rims? I'm currently running the stock specs of 225-45-18F and 245-45-18R.
Or if I'm just blind and this topic has been covered please redirect me to that thread, thank you.

Both the 265 and 275 are recommended for a 9" minimum rim width. The 265 is .02" less in cross section, and whould work just fine on an 8.5" wheel. Anything above that is pushing it. You'll have tire bulge, something that is not safe or attractive. Yep, some folks do it, but it's really not safe and a tire shop that would install such a combo is not reptubale. You would also lose any support from the tire manufacture since you're not following his recommendations.

I agree that its more than you would normally want to do but its definitely possible. People run oversize tires all the time and I've never heard of them rolling off the bead. I personally wouldn't go over a 275.

I'm thinking about doing these widths with PS2's... is this going to look goofy?
