Going with 20" and Hotchkis.. need to find Tires
I'm going with 20" Axis Milanos and dropping with the Hotchkis springs. I want to make sure I get good performance tires that are somewhat quiet without rubbing issues. Opinions and suggestions? Anyoe with 20's and satisfied with their set-up? I tried the tire calc above and the tires with the same profile have different heights and the speeds are off from the front to back...

20's work fine
I am running 20x9 and 20x10 axis pentas on my z the sizes are 245/35-20 fronts an 285/30-20. They work great, but mine is not lowered. According to most fitment guides a stock height z should run 275-35-20 in the rears @ the max. I use the nitto 555's on mine very good tire for wear and ride quality and bang for your buck. If you need anyore help just let me know I was in the tire/wheel business for 8 yrs.

I am running 20" Axis Mods with 255/35/20 on Front and 285/30/20 on Rear. I car is not lowered, and I have plenty of clearance.
As far as the rubber, I get a great buy from a buy on ebay and I love the BFGoodrich KDW's. The KDW's are notorious for being the BEST dry tire, but one of the WORST rain/snow tires. I like them though and have gone through two sets.

Sorry... I should have included this... I'll be running 20"x8.5" with 15mm offsets in the front and 20"x9.5" with 20mm offsets in the rear.
I've heard that you shouldn't run lower than 35 for profile but some tire sites keep pointing me to run 30s. It sounds like 35 front and 30 rear may be a good comprimise and reduce the impact of speed variance...
Qualities I'm looking for in order of importance- great dry/wet traction (no snow in FL), decent treadlife, brand quality, low noise, price...

I love these too as far as a dry tire, but I don't drive my Z in the rain so I can't help you there.
How much on average to you pay on e-bay? I need to check that out.

I got 20x 8.5f and 20x10r....Tires are 255/35/20f and 275/30/20r.....I was told the same thing...Fronts have to be 35 and rears have to be 30 for the vdc not to pitch a fit.....Ive read on here that Falkan tires allow you to run 30's front and back because of the way the tire is made...Not sure...I hate how the front is so much bigger sidewall than the rears...

Ahh... damn the Tein S.Techs are cheaper, but are a lower drop and stiffer spring rate... haven't ordered yet.. still on the fence for Hotchkis vs. Tein....

Nevermind... the Intense Power site said approx 1.5" drop (same advertisement for all S.Tech springs) but I researched the Tein website and it says the drop is actually 0.6 inches... sold!

I have 20x9 and 20x10.5 Mayas on my G and run 255/30 and 285/30 KDW 2's. There are no rubbing or VDC issues and the KDW's work great in the rain. KDW = killer wet and dry
A buddy has also run 255/30 285/30 with 20's on his Z with not VDC issues either.
I had 255/35/20 Nittos on the front and it looked like a truck tire to me. The front tire was an inch larger than the rear in diameter.

glad that the KDW's work well for you in the rain, but not really for me.
the link to the guy that sells the tires on ebay = http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZjtbdj5QQhtZ-1
BTW, he apparently doesn't have any 285 KDW's at the moment...

Is the VDC suspicion that the only reason to get 35 front 30 rear? Do you think the ride is any better or worse? I'm about to get a package that comes like that, 245/35/20front 275/30/20rear... I'm concerned about how it will look.
