Tires
I was wondering if it would be ok to run 295s in the rear. what are most of you guys running? I have 19x9 rims in the rear and are currently running 275s. Id like to go up but was wondering if it will rub. thanks

Most 295s will require a 10"+ wheel for correct application. When you put too wide of a tire on too narrow of a wheel, you'll be more susceptible to knocking your tire bead off the wheel during hard cornering and bumps because of the excessive overhanging of the tire. Basically, the tire does not have the proper support on the bead and sidewalls. I would check the tire manufacture's application guild for the wheel range for each size.

I am currently running 275, 35, do you think I can run 285s then? Id like to put maybe a 40 profile instead of a 35 to help with the bumps, what do you guys think?

1) Change your dampening
2) Soften your spring rate
3) Go down to 18's and run 275/40's
Because using a 40 series tire over 255mm wide on a 19" wheel is going to increase the rolling diameter way too much.

As Nihilation pointed out, going fatter AND bigger sidewall is bad news as you are drastically changing the diameter of the tire. You want to stay within 3% of the stock diameters to keep your speedometer, TCS and VDC happy. You can use this tire size calculator to plug in the numbers to see what the differences are.
thats guys, I appreciate it. that helps a lot. I just want to run the biggest possible with no rubbing and stuff, I have the base so I need all the traction I can get and TCS VDC dont apply.
