Default Rim Repair Guide

Anyone try this rim repair guide?
http://www.a u topia-carcare.com/realwhda.html
(take the spaces out of "auto")

Also, what color code is the 2004 Touring model 18" rims? It's almost a "plastic" looking coat.

why he doesn't suggest taking the wheel off the car, so you don't have to worry about temp or overspray is beyond me.

Because of the "professional detailer" nature of Autopia, he's showing how to do it in-place as a detailer would do any other cosmetic repair to the car. The ideal way to do it would be to dismount the tire too. A lot of high-end car owners wouldn't trust their detailer to put their car up on a jack and remove the wheels to repair damage.
