I am in the market to replace my oem 18" wheels (long overdue). Like many here, I have looked at countless combinations, scoured the marketplace threads, and bugged many a vendor/seller. What I have come down to is making decision between going with a popular brand name, such as Volk or saving some cash and running with a set of wheels from someone like Ruff.

At the moment, I can get a new set of 19" Ruff 279's for roughly (no pun intended) 800-900$ less then a used set of Silver, 19", Volk SF Winnings that I have inquired about. Both sets are nice, and to the untrained eye, both sets constitute a nice upgrade. Regarding weight, I have been told that the Ruff wheels are around the same weight as what I currently have (18" alloys), and I don't know what the Volks weigh.

Naturally, opinions on wheels are always subjective, but I respect the views of many people on this forum. Thank you in advance, and sorry if this post represents another "best wheel thread".

 

if your second guessing the ruffs then get the volks, but if you like them both and cant tell the difference between the two(besides the name) then get the ruffs

 

SF winnings are my choice.

 

i say dont skimp on your car. get what you ideally want and if you cant afford it then wait.

Well don't the Ruffs have rivets? That would be a pain to keep clean. The volks always look good on any car.

 

get what you really want. save and get it. its all about wat u like.
