Just had these put on today...had to replace shyt *** 'tenzas after 20k...must say car handles much better and its nice to be able to finally put the pedal down and not spin everytime...so far so good with Nittos.

I prefer Toyo T1-R, the ride quality is a lot smoother and they grip a little more.

i dont like mine too much to be honest. i wish they had more traction.

 

heat cycle them when they are new. They can get greasy after about 10k miles.

You might try a Khumo MX next time. Great tire!

they make a run flat version too for the vettes, so if it fits your wheels, go for it. even stiffer sidewall

After about 200 miles do a rain test. Find an empty parking lot, and run figure-8s in the rain. Post your critique. A good place is Martins East on Pulaski Highway. Big lot and no poles.

 

I thought heat cycling was just for competition compounds, not for street tires. Isn't that overkill?

 

I currently have the Nitto 555 NT ZR Extremes or whatever it is on my rears. My previous tires were Pirelli P-Zeros, and I have to say that the 555's are just horrible. They don't catch nearly enough traction on/off the track and they're not as great as the P-Zeros in the rain. I think these are overpriced and you can get better tires for cheaper. And also, the sidewall just looks bigger than others that are of the same size (makes my rear 18s look like 17s). Just my opinion.
