Default Rims question...

Hey guys, I'm most likely gonna be getting an '07 Z in the next couple weeks. I currently drive a Tiburon with 18" Tenzo Passion 5 rims. I noticed that the bolt pattern for them is the same as the Z (114.3), but will they fit? The only other size listed for them is 18x7.5 On the Tib they fit, but are very close to the brake calipers. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Do you know the exact offset? Since they are for a Tiburon, we can assume it's going to be a really high offset. Since the bolt pattern is the same, you can use them if they clear the brakes, but they will be really tucked inside the fender and it wont look good at all.

After some research I found that the offset is 42mm. Is that gonna work? Or will it look really tucked in and weird? If so, is there a way to get wheel spacers to fix the problem?

If you use some 20mm spacers, it'll reduce the offset to 22mm, it should look good (offset wise).

Also keep in mind that the stock Z wheels for Base and Enthusiast trim levels are 18x8 front, 18x8.5 rear, offset +33 all around (I think). So right off the bat your Tenzo's are undersized compared to stock and with a higher offset, so yes they will look very tucked without spacers.

The other concern is that you might not get very good traction/power delivery with tires that skinny. Plus even if you use spacers, those wheels/tires will look awfully skinny when looking at the car from the rear.

I know what position you're in. When I was getting ready to buy my Z I had to part out my Mazda6 which had a set of 18x7.5 wheels and same bolt pattern as the Z. I just decided to take the hit financially and sell them off because I knew they were too small for the Z.

Definately too small. When I upgraded to 10'' wheels from teh stock 8'', I noticed a huge difference in traction. I sugggest you sell those wheels and put the cash into a fund for new wheels for the Z :_D
