I have been doing some research and according to my math (which is not the greatest) a 19" wheel w/ 275/35/19 and 245/35/19 is roughly the same wheel diameter as a stock 18" wheel w/ stock tire sizes (03 performance). If this is correct than a 19" wheel with this setup should not raise the car. I'm quite happy with my suspension at the moment and with my nismo kit that will lower it further than I really want to go. Any opinions on this? Anyone w/ pics of non-lowered cars w/ 19's would be appreciated!!!

ive got 06 gt and my front is 245 40 18 and 265 35 19 and they dont look high at all to me...i mean dont compare to another z that has a drop of over 1" because u really can tell that urs is a bit higher...its basically how you like it! i am not big fan of a very slam z. Ive seen them, they are nice but i will not do that to my car...On ur side, u might like it....hope this helps

I think you'll find the main reason people lower the car when putting 19s on is b/c the fender gap appears more prominent with the larger diameter wheel. I can't explain why this is the case, but it's what most people note.

Most of the time its because the offset is lower, not because of the larger diameter wheel. When the wheels arent tucked away in the fenders, it makes the gap more obvious.

plus the sidewall is smaller which accentuates the gap. I had numerous set-ups with several suspensions on my previous cars, and bigger wheels need at least a little lowering.

I believe the 03-05 had a lower setup than the newer Z's. at least thats what i notice. thats why i really don't care to lower right now and i personally think that pic looks quite nice. thanks for the replies. more pics welcome

The front doesn't look bad in that pic, the rear though... yea looks like it's just sticking its **** up in the air. A rear skirt would help though. Guessing if it had a full kit of some sort, wouldn't be as apparent.

I had those size tires on some volk le37t's and it did raise my car a little. If I remember correctly, it was about half an inch higher then stock (I measured from the ground to the fender).
