Blue with white wheels can definitely be pulled off. I believe you'll find a pic of a blue 350z with white wheels if you google "blue 350z white wheels"

I saw a bunch of pics of the Daytona blue Zs with white wheels, but no SMB Zs. I guess I'll find out if I like them when I put them on tomorrow. I'll post some pics, so I can get your opinions.

A drop with 20/25 spacers would look good.

oh yeah... put the white on...once you get tired of constant cleaning and wipe downs, then powdercoat them another color.
the white will look good imo

Seems pretty obvious....spend $0 and put them on your car as-is. If you like it, you spent nothing. If you don't like it, spend some $$$ making it right. You'll be spending a few bucks on spacers in either case to get the stance right.

I'm currently running a set of gloss white wheels on my daily driver. They are a pain to keep clean, but to varying degrees based on your choice of brake pads. Originally I was running Hawk HPS which put out little piles of very coarse grit, which turned out to be highly corrosive and destroyed the finish on my stock wheels. Then I switched over to StopTech Street Performance pads which put out a lower level of dust, and the dust they do put out is much "softer" and finer than the HPS pads. But as soon as a drop of water gets on them, get ready for a mess.

With white wheels you really have to be comfortable with a "good from far, far from good" policy on appearance. Within reason they'll still look fresh and bright from 15 feet away, even when they are a mess up close.

No sense in spending extra money if you like them as is.

Too dark of a blue.San Marino is a very classy almost navy.
You will cheapen the car.
Try gunmetal ...some bronze shades.
Of course,a hyper-black would work.

I got a good deal on some 19" G35 Rays(Always loved them) , but they are white. I have a San Marino blue Z. What are your opinions??? Try the white, or get them powder coated bronze????

Does anyone have pics of a SMB Z with white wheels of similar design?
There are plenty of stock wheel modifications in this thread including the 19" Rays

Default Stock Rim makeover

So one of these threads a lot of you hate. I've done a lot of searches and can't get the perfect answer. I'd love to buy rims, but I don't have the money right now. That said, I'm really interested in doing some cheap mods to the car to improve appearance and the stance.

Firstly the rims: I saw a black Z with just the spokes PCed black, with the outside edge left silver, but I cannot find the picture at the moment. From what I remember, it looked good. I definitely don't want to PC stock rims all black. Not only will it look out of place, I think stock black rims on a black car will look terrible! So what are my options to use stock rims, yet make them look better without ruining the look of my car? Anyone willing to photoshop something up?

Secondly, I'd really like to improve the stance of my Z. What are some affordable ways to do this?

I'd really appreciate any advice you guys have- this car isn't a show car, but I'd love to improve some little things cheaply! I'd love to keep a clean look to the car.

It costs about 4 bills for a good powercoating. Save that Money and put it towards some suspension. Can't go wrong with a good shock/spring combo, cheap too.

I agree with better springs. The only problem is, I need new rims. Bought the car with winter tires on them (which is fine since I will drive it in the winter), but I'd rather just have an extra set of rims with summer tires on them to simply swap them in and out. So I pretty much need to get rims, and most aftermarkets are a little out of budget.
