Wish I knew! They were on the car when I purchased it. Unfortunately, one wheel is starting to chip and I am not sure how to touch it up.

Winter Setup: 18" V1 Touring Wheels with Dunlop Snow Tires painted Super White by myself (The rims were really messed up when I bought them 2 years ago so I figured I would fix them up and figured why not try another color. I actually love the white on the SMB)

Default Plasti dip. Before and after.

Decided today to take a shot at the new fad of plasti dipping my rims.

And let me tell you it was much easier than everyone made it sound.
Took me about three hours to do everything. And I'm really pleased with the outcome. (:

In all I used 4 cans(one per rim)
Made sure I wiped them down first. Didn't wash with soapy water or anything first and they still came out great actually.

And the dip applies better when doing long smooth sprays instead of small choppy sections like I've seen te recommended. That's just me though, and it worked for me. If you want to do it however you want by all means do so, just givi g my opinion and experience.

Next up is my door handles, emblems and tail lights.

Let me know what you think!

Went from nice to rice.

The silver wheels give great contract from an asthetic point of view.

I appreciate your opinions but I like the black more. Mainly because the rims were so curbed with black rash and the clear coat coming off and chips in them. The dip covers it up well. I ideally want to put gold rims on but since money is tight I can't right now. So black plasti dip was my best option.

Looks ok, just not a fan of painted OEM wheels. It's like painting your non-Brembo calipers red or whatever.

I like the black wheels, but please don't murder out your car, that was so 3 years ago and it only really looks good on black cars.

Its your car,you do what you think is right.
But,you post what you have done,in this house you are sure to get
feedback. Most looks negative. So is mine.Plasti Dip sure is not a new fad.
In fact,I wish it would go away since its long run its course.
However,you went&done it.The before looked better.IMO,the only
mod I've seen on OEM wheels that looks good is the DupliColor shadow kit.
I see your point about covering up the road rash on your wheels.Well,
I guess your plan to do the door handles etc makes sense since they
do stand out.At least you can remove this stuff.
Your car(I Lagos)is one of my fav colors.Pretty rare too.
Would look fantastic with a bronze wheel, not gold.

I concur. Keep black for black.

Now save up on what you really want and you'll be happy in the end.

job looks well done, coverage looks pretty even from the pics given. i do prefer the combo of the silver on the color car you have but the before pic of the wheels do look pretty scuffed so I can't knock you for wanting to hide it a bit until you get the wheels you want. GL

From a distance looks ok. Also looks like you were covering up a lot of curb-rash.

I disagree. I think OEM painted wheels look good when done right. I love my powdercoated gunmetal wheels and also my white oem winter wheels.

I wish plasti-dip would go out of business!
On that note stop being a cheap *** and buy wheels...

Nice paint though.

id rahter see someone plastidip thier OEM wheels than buy terrible aftermarket wheels.
We tell these guys all day long to either keep stock wheels , buy Enkeis or buy Volks.. thats about it.
This guy didnt buy Volks or Enkeis.. and kept his stock wheels.

It all starts somewhere.
