Default OH GOD, my KUMHO SIDEWALL

i bought some tires awhile back, they were in great condition except i didnt notice that on one of the tires, the sidewall looks like it was previously hit on a curb(bought these used)
looks like a chunk of it came off, airpressure is fine but other than that it looks like a POS
WAHH
i know theres no repair for sidewall damage if its losing air, but what about this scenario?

weak sidewalls are nothing to ignore, wether its a bubble or a nice chunk of it missing, weakend sidewalls will cause a tire to fail, worst case it can blow on you on the freeway at high speeds and cause you to lose control. ive had first hand experience, dont risk it. get yourself a new tire.

Are you talking about the tread or the tear in the side?

its the sidewall
theres no puncture, but it seems like it was curbed(1 inch), and its now uneven, its okay to drive but i think its quite ugly

I had a 'chunk' taken out of my Toyo T1R sidewall and still drove on them for 4,000 hard miles. They held up fine. When I finally replaced them, I took at look at the tire and was shocked to see how thin these sidewalls really are and how dangerously close I was to a catastrophic blow out.

The tech who replaced my tire said I was one lucky guy. he's seen less damaged tires blow out. Like everyone else is saying, I'd get a new set of tires if I were you.

My opinion with this kind of tire damage is that if I can easily see the damage, then it needs to be replaced. Hell I've scraped a few curbs in my day at ~10 mph and even that gave me some heart ache.
