Default NO flaming, i just want some answers i cant find

so again to the weight issue. is a 22 pound wheeel that is 18x10.5 heavy? i know there are 18x9.5's that weigh like 18-19 pounds but, are there any 10 or 10 & 1/2 inch wide tires under 20 pounds? & with a stock suspension i can run 265/35 on the 9.5 inch fronts, and 295/30's on the 10.5 inch rears with no rubbing issues? (im goin to wait a while before getting some revalved konis & putting T2 springs on em)

The Volk TE37 is a real lightweight (around or under 20lbs) and can be had in 18x10.5. No idea on your rubbing question.

The weight is relative. Generally a forged wheel will weigh less than a cast wheel. Manufactures such as SSR and WedsSport use a different technique to reduce weight. Just check the wheels and compare weights.

you should pm some of the wheel sponsors. they'd probably know alot more about it than the average forum member.

as for rubbing, i'd just cut the fenders. it allows room for future tire sizes.

Rubbing will depend on your offset and tire brand\model.

Its not just weight, the volks are forged, so they are way stronger than the cast reverbs. They also come in better offsets that aren't available on the reverbs. If Axis wheels are good enough for you, then get them, just don't try to make a comparison to Volks

Defensive? I don't even own Volks.... Based on your logic, why drive a Z when you can get almost the same perfomance driving an integra for less money, its not like you are going to track either one

what I know is that my rear Volks TEs that are 19x9.5 w/ 265/30-19s are lighter than the original 17" w/ 235/50-17.

BTW I got my Volks w/ tires for $2k

where did you find a set of volk 18" for $4000?? wtf..

if you want chaep wheels then don't expect it to be light and strong.. any company can make a light wheel but this might happen when you hit a pot hole..

lol no more responses for you...TE37's are a lil out of reach price wise...& what the hell are you talking about same performance from an integra? or are you one of those that sticks to the strips only? id guess so...Z's arent made for strip use m8 theyre made for road courses...hence why track edition Z beat the evo IX MR around virginia international...take your rice & join a forum where they dont care about cornering or handling

& yeah the TE37 volks 18x10.5 rear 18x9.5 front were like 3800 bucks man...ive looked around nobodys cracked a reverb...Axis uses them on their track cars so they obviously dont crumble or anything...regardless they probably have a warranty...if it cracks i could threaten to file a lawsuit & theyd send me a new one

In wheels, the following applies:
  • Light
  • Strong
  • Cheap
Pick any two.

Yeah but the difference is that is repairable and doesn't crack. That's fixable.

Good point!!
