Default New 350z owner needing tech help

Just joined the site looks great pleased to be part of the family now.

I just purchased a 350z 2005 model, its been looked after & only done 16,000miles...

I purchased the car with aftermarker Alloys and tyres already fitted but after driving now for 2 weeks I'm finding alot of rubbing on the rear tyres there touching the arche when goin round corners and large bumps in the road...

One thing I have noticed the rear left tyre is the worst for rubbing, when checking the gap between the tyre and the arch I could only fit 2 fingers in the gap but on the oppsit side I could fit 3 fingers.

Any one got any suggestions on whats up is it suspension problems or something more simple.

Any help would be excellent

A few things to check:

1. What are the current tire sizes? (ie: 245/45/18)
2. Do both rear tires match?
3. Was the car on level ground when you did the "finger test"?
4. Does the car have any suspension modifications?

That should give us a little bit more information to better diagnose this problem.

The problem is the wheels. Improper size. Improper offset. Altering the suspension will not fix a poor wheel choice.

It was in reference to his "finger test", he said he could fit 2 fingers on one side and 3 fingers on the other, was not aware that was due to offset.
