Rota Rims Good Or Bad

I personally am thinking of getting the Rota Torque r's all around in Hyperblack to replace the MB Wheels that were on my silverstone Z when I bought it. I don't track my car, I don't race my car, 40 lbs. extra on my car (versus volks) would not be detrimental to my daily commute to work. I want a wheel that looks good that won't force me to have to save for the wheels.

and pick the Royal Cosmic Blue to see the wheel. It appears to be a darker blue.
I would love to see those royal golds on a Z. Its too bad that cosmic blue is darker than the DB color, otherwise that might look hot. I think they should do a flat black with a royal (lighter than the cosmic) blue lip. In +25 or lower offsets all around... that would be awesome.
I'm definitely thinking of the Torque. Heck, the weight is in the 21-22 pound range, which is not bad at all. I'd rather have a Volk or Nismo at 18-19 pounds, but it's the price tag that keeps grabbing at my wallet. Not sure how much I'd notice the 3 pound difference...in fact I'd be better off with lighter weight tires (where the weight is located farther from the center of the wheel/tire and affects performance more than a wheel might).
thats true, is there a way to find out which tires weigh less? like specifically which brand and model, i.e. falken 452 vs. falken azenis 615 vs. nitto nt555 vs. khumo mx...etc.
You won't have too much of a difference in the tire weight compared to wheel weights because wheels are made of different materials but tires are all made of rubber except for the various layers which don't weigh much.
Thats not entirely correct because tires are not "just rubber" they have various different compounds that they are made of and in addition to what you said about the layers, some have steel belts some like I believe the falken azenis have carbon or kevlar belts, etc.

if you guys are going for the Torque or Work Emotion look i would probably suggest fishing through the classifieds because theyre pretty decently priced and i would rather buy used Work wheels if they were near the price of new Rotas
just my opinion though although i dont have a problem with Rotas like on my prior post but i would rather buy works > rota if they were similar in price

you're talking about a 1-2 lb difference.
Who gives a turd about the weight really? unless this is your track only ultra high performance race car 99% of us will never be able to tell the difference between heavy wheels and light wheels as we are driving to the park to try and pick up on some MILF. I know the Z is a heavy car for it's size, and I know every little bit counts, but the sound system I just put in my car along with the interior pieces that I pulled out to do the sound deadening collectively weigh about as much as all 4 wheels and tires do. I know the theory of rotational torque, and how that affects braking and what not, but like I said 99% of us will never know the difference and even if we did notice the difference; it wouldn't make a bit of difference when going to get some kibbles and bits to feed your old lady. Just my .02c but I think people are taking this waaaaaaaaay too seriously.
you know ^^ That is a really good point. lol, and i love the part about the milf. Then again its hard to resist trying to shave weight off.. at least for me, in my mind i think that weight is weight and im even considering putting in stock cloth seats rather than my touring seats or sparco torinos because the stock cloth weighs less than both and i dont need the bolstering of the sparcos. I have some friends that have it so bad they will buy a car, strip the interior and even remove things like the A/C because in their mind it is the max performance (and if you do all that it is..) but its hard to find the compromises to make those little differences in a car as nice as the Z or any street car, especially daily drivers...
sorry thats a little OT...

its obvious you work for Rota, being that their distribution center is right by where you live, its no secret. when rota can get a little creative instead of biting off rays wheels then maybe i wont have anything bad to say about it, but until rota can come up with their own creative designs and actually prove that you are ceritfied by ISO, JWL, VIA, you dont have my vote. i see you guys already copied the re30, haha. how pathetic. it looks like tHisZ_bFAST has you on check homie, hahahaa.

Half of these guys are screaming about a 4-5lb difference but they'll gladly stuff their hatch full of 100+ lbs of subwoofers, enclosure, and amps...
THEY ALL ROLL
