03 here and tires feathered big time @ 7k miles. Got the fix under TSB with replacement tires and alignment. The new RE040s were on and worn out evenly at 22k miles. Now I am running 19s. No problems since the TSB. IMO, it was a non issue after the fix.

I know the 03's and 04's were not FIXABLE! I owned an 03 and it was a nightmare...Had to slap LAWSUIT on
Nissan's A$$ and 2 years later they finally bought it back full price but that was a process..That's why I'm being very cautious about this potential purchase on a 06... anyone else? Please chime in!

Thanks!
One of the main problems with the '03s was that the initial "fix" was incorrect. I had the same problem with my '04. I brought the car in and they realigned it and swapped the front wheels. After 3K miles, the problem returned. About that time, Nissan came out with the second TSB that included the '04 models. Part of the new procedure was that dealers were required to have their alignment machines recalibrated and to submit proof of calibration at the time they submitted the claim on the TSB.

After the machince was recalibrated, I brought my Z back in under the TSB and they realigned it again and replaced the front tires. The front alignment (which was corrected a few months earlier) was WAY out of spec.

Nissan realized that the alignment was critical but most dealer's machines were not accurate enough to get cars back into spec. Hence the requirement for them to calibrate their machines.

Well I found out that the inner walls of both front tires are warn down when I took my car into the shop and I have a 06. I'm not into scamming, but I would like to know if this effects me on the TSB?

Im pretty sure its fixed for 06 cars. I have 25k miles on the OEM tires, and it might even last another 2k miles. The rears are worn evenly, and the fronts have some more wear on the outer parts, and thats probably from aggressive cornering
