Default Found screw in tire please help

yeah my tires are like 3 weeks old and found a freaking screw in it already. i do not believe it punctured all the way through. i feel if i removed it no air would leak. does this mean that the tire will be fine? is there any way to reinforce it if it does not leak? i'm going to take it to a pro and get a patch if it does leak but should i be worried if it does not leak and i dont get anything done to it. also if i get a patch is it a permanent fix or temporary? do i need a new tire. its not too big of a screw and the hole it may leave will be pretty small. please need help. thnx inadvance

Plug it, should cost you like 10 bucks. But if its close to the sidewall then you will have to get a new tire.

Never heard of this before. Can it be done on the actual tread, and not just the sidewal? Also, do any of the larger chains do this? Suggestions on how to find a shop that actually does this?

I wouldnt worry about it. As long as its not on the side wall it can be plugged. For now just wait it out. If it eventully starts leaking you know where its from. I ususaly just plug tires. even if the screw hasnt gone all the way through. that way theres no problems down the road. In your case just see what happens.

Its a little late, but I would have advised leaving the screw in place. Keep an eye on the pressure over the next week. If the pressure is OK, leave the tire alone. If it is leaking, have it patched.

BTW I have replaced 2 rear tires over the past 6 months because of damage. Very expensive.

tell me about it i just replaced all four tires and it cost me an arm and a leg. i removed the screw and put soap solution around where it came out and no bubbles so i believe no leaks. i will def monitor the air pressure anyway just as a security blanket. question is if there is o air pressure loss am i goot to go and no need to do anything to the tire. like i said the screw went it weird and looks like it may have only pierced the tread and not the actual tire

My next tires will be from Tire Rack. I am going to add the hazard warranty. Its about $80/4 tires. That's considerably less than the cost of just one tire.
