Default Will this look like a donut.

Oki guys, Im calling in my one "get out of using search" card for this one. Mostly, I want opinions.

I had a certain vendor here tell me that 255/40 - 275/40 combo would not look all that great on a set of 18''s, 8.5f / 9.5r. He told me that 255 is too big for the front and would not look right. He suggested 245 instead of 255. I wonder if maybe he did not have 255's and was just trying to sell me 245s because thats what he had. However, that is speculation. He was very nice to deal with other wise.

So what does everyone else say? Would the difference in handling be that much greater? Would it look bulgey, as he suggested?

Personally, I would go 245 over 255, I think it would look better too

i have 265 in the front but i have time attacks ... i agree with james, go with the 245, that's what he has in the front and they look great, it might look a little odd with the 255s i'm thinking

255 is the widest "recommended" width on a 8.5" wheel, and I think it looks fine, but I don't like stretched tires. I"m running a 245 right now on an 8.5 and it looks a little too thin, and doesn't match the 285/9.5 combo in the rear.
