Default I guess I need new front tires?

Well, Since my car is in the shop now getting repaired They took a look at my front tires, there is some uneven wear on the fronts and the guy said they should be replaced, Whe I bought the car from the dealer they had the stock front tires on, I do not think the first owner of my car ever replaced them so there was about 21,500 miles on those, The dealer put a set of brand new rear tires on my car, The place that is fixing my car said he can get tires at cost if I want, so What kind of Front tires should I get? The rear tires I have on now are winter tires. thanks

Go to tire section and enjoy your reading.

personally, I'd replace all four. Not optimal to have different tires front & back.

Photos are helpful.

Because a tire has unusual tread wear pattern, does not automatically mean that it needs to be replaced. I hate to see you toss $400 out the window when the tires have additional safe miles. On the other hand, uneven wear opens a new bag of worms? Why is the tire worn unevenly?

Yes, the rear tires are M-S tires, Put on by the dealer because when the guy traded the car in the rrear tires were shot, the fronts are the stock tires that came with the car, The guy at the body shop said it could use a new set on the front because the inside of the driver side tire is warn alot more then the other side, how many miles should you normally put on the stock front tires?

if there's 22k miles on them thats about all you're going to get.

of course depends on how you drive but 22k out of the stocks is about it

perhaps the PO got new fronts because of feathering at some point, which is something i guess you wouldnt know.

A M&S rated tire is OK IF the speed rating is proper. I advise against mixing types (performance, all-season) of tires.

depends on what you're looking for... summer or AS

there was just a poll on the best tire choice, check the wheel/tire forum

falken fk, pilot sports, eagle f1 gsd3, bfg kdw etc etc theres lots of good tires.

even the craptenzas arent bad esepcially if you can get them cheap on the PC section
