After driving for around plus or minus 30 minutes (doesn't happen everytime), my tire pressure light comes on in my dash. I scroll through the computer to check my tire pressure and it's always my left front tire that has problems. It looks like this "---" just has dashes where the "37psi" or so would be. I bought my car recently and is equipped with brand new tires, I'm thinking maybe when they installed the tires they didn't install the TPMS correctly. But oddly most of the time it works (although I have a gut feeling that it's off by 1 psi) but maybe I'm just paranoid.
Do any of you guys have any idea what's going on? Any input is much appreciated, thanks.
p.s. no I do not need air, I'm very **** when it comes to taking care of my Z

TPMS are indeed in my wheels. All of them work sometimes. Only one of them very seldom do not work.
It's probably damaged. Damn tire monkeys. You're gonna need another one to replace the one that's not working. Check the Marketplace->Private Classifieds->Wheels, Tires forum, somebody always has some for sale cheap.

You guys pretty sure it's the TPMS though right? I was thinking maybe it's not the TPMS on the wheel itself but the reader equipped on my Z. Thanks for your support.
On thing which can cause this is using an FM transmitter in your vehicle. For example, if you have an IPod, and listen to it by transmitting it to your radio, then this can cause problems with the tire pressure monitors.
Since it depends on the frequency you choose, and proximity to the sensors... it can be intermittent.

Also another thing is, although I have extended warranty on my vehicle.. I have a 30 day limited warranty where there is absolutely no deductible. So I brought my car to the shop, however it's a shame that they cannot replicate the problem so they wont be able to fix it for me.
Another thing, the light resets after I restart my car.

Yes, a missing sensor will trigger the warning after about 30-45 minutes of driving. Once you turn the car off, it's cleared and the process starts over (30-45 minutes then alarm).

Cool thanks dave. Does anyone know how much it'll cost to remove tire, install pressure sensor and reinstall tire? Also a reputable shop would be nice, thanks again.
This thread might answer some of you questions, or at least clear up some.
