how far can you drop the Z front and rear before you need to buy a rear toe kit or a front camber kit?

lol there isnt any real concise information that i've been able to find. Everything seems very subjective and I want some advice from some of the guys on here who really know what theyre talking about.

wouldnt be able to really answer that for you. since its varies easily from car to car, but lets just say..maybe 2 inches

drop your car, see how bad your camber is, if its really bad, then get one

All in all, I think you should lower as much as you are comfortable driving in. Then, take it to a quality alignment shop. Most nice shops offer a 3-6 month warranty, where you can take your car in several times and just pay once. Right after the install, have them align the car. You'll see how much you are out of spec. If you are way out of spec, then get the camber arms. The fronts are non-adjustable for camber from the factory so you'll need camber arms for the fronts for any drop to stay just as it was out of the factory. That is, it may still be "within" spec, but you will not be in the same specs as stock.

well wouldnt dropping it like .5-.8 inches up front toe the front's out a little bit? wouldnt it improve handling a little bit, maybe have some negative tirewear/braking effects but nothing so noticeable that you need a camber kit till you drop over an inch or so?

When I had my alignment done, the printout did show some excessive toe that was corrected during the alignment. As far as how toe effects handling, braking, etc. I, honestly, do not know. Infact, I posted questions about toe, myself. I am under the impression that any toe is overall detrimental, unless you are doing something specific that may require it (i.e. auto-x, drifting, or what ever the specific case may be).

And as far as 0.5-0.8", I don't think that subtle of a drop would even be noticible on the street. And I am a big fan of conservative mods...
