Got 285 rears?
I know I have seen it somewhere - but I am just checking...there are some of us who have put 285s in the back... right? I am considering 245s front & 285s in the rear. Oh, with a set of iForged Aeros. Is there anything special that needs to be done with this set-up, or can I expect iForged to be able to hold my little hand. Also, any problems in anyone's opinion regarding the 285s in the back? They are just so nice and plump. I'd like to have some fat tires.
i've got the performance model which came with 18's . I'm staying with 18s. Ok this is good. "no problems' is a good thng. This is gonna be a bit of dough...don't wanna do something dumb. I saw a porsche 911 with 285/30/18s in the back & 225/30/18 in the front. The rears looked jus so good. I'm just a sucker for FAT rear tires! What can I do. Ha!

I got 295/35-18 rears and 275/35-15 fts with no problems what so ever. You can drop it with that size with Eibach (1.2" drop) and still no problems. Don't worry, your Z can easily handle 285's. Go for it if you like, if i would have put 275's on mine, i would have never been happy because I like the big tire look. Now, is someone going to flame me because they got the 245/275 combo most people have? I hope we are mature enough to allow for personal differences. Otherwise, Nissan better start making only one model, one color, no options...

i was going to go with 285/30/20 in the rear but vince from iforged suggest that i go with 275 just to be sure that i didn't rub. don't know how much of a difference there is between the Z and the G but they should be pretty close.
I got a suggestion for you. There is a guy that post here name either wheelmaker or hrewheelmaker and he does all the measuring for HRE and he measures every nice car that comes out. I am sure he can tell you with certainty if 285's will go on a G35 or not. My bet is no problem...
Yes, I got 9" fts, 10" rears. I posted a pic for you below FYI. !0" wheels in the rear are the right call for a 285 and if you want, you can bump up to a 295 if so desired. good luck, Jeff
Zland, thanx for that image. They look great. I guess those are Toyo Proxes. That's exactly what I plan to get too. Nice plump rear rubber on a sports car that you personally get to drive has to rate up there in the top ...what 10 or 25 reasons to be thankful for having disposeable income! Yeah, I think that's the plan, 9s in the F & 10s in the R. Now, all I need to do is start collecting coke bottles to save the deposit money & I'll be set! I think this will happen this summer.
