Question TSW Sakata 5's - Anyone have them?

I am currently wheel shopping for my Z. I'm torn between a couple Volk wheels and the TSW Thruxton and TSW Sakata 5.

I have seen the Thruxton on a few G's and Z's on this forum and I think they look incredible. Of course, I also think the Volk’s look incredible too!

I realize the difference between the two manufacturers and the wheels they offer. To be honest, I am going more for SHOW on these wheels. The reason why I am not so concerned with performance factor/aspect of my wheel choice is because when and IF I do autocross my Z it will be with my OEM wheels.

Ergo, if you are going to post your dislike for TSW and their wheels, please....don’t. After searching for wheels and wheel information, I know full well that there is a group of people on this forum who dislike TSW.

The goal of this thread is SIMPLY to learn if anyone has these wheels on their Z. If you do, please post pictures and/or comments.

Thank you,
Larry

THANKS! They do look good. Where did you find those pics? I Google'd and searched high and low.

I just wonder how they'd look on a Redline Z w/a drop.

Red face Added poll....20'' Thruxton owners....SOS!

Last week I installed H&R Springs (1.3'' frt drop and 1.0'' rear drop) w/Tokico D struts.

Now that I have decided to go for the 20'' Thruxton's, I'm concerned that I'll rub. I guess I could always switch springs (see the H&R's and buy something else or go OEM).

Offset that I've been advised on....
20x8.5 20offset front
20x10 25offset rear
Is that good advise or should I choose another to fight rubbing!?

Btw, to help the VDC, I'm planning on going w/ 285/30/20 on the rears (see, I did search!)

Lastly, what do you guys think of this? 19x9.5 front and 20x10 on the rears? I know...I'm so confused...I just want my car to look good!

Thanks!

Question Offset ?

I'd really like the Thruxton owners to chime in, but anyone with 20's is welcome to answer the following:
What is the offset of your wheels?
Is there any issues (e.g., hitting strut) that you have that might have been fixed w/a different offset?

I was planning on getting the Thruxtons in the following sizes:
Fronts-
20X8.5 5-114.3 w/20 offset
245/35/20

Rears-
20X10 5-114.3 w/35 offset
285/30/20

But a reputable person thought that I might be better going w/25 offset in the rear to clear the struts. My only concern with that is that it's closer to the fender, which would cause a rubbing issue there. I guess if it does happen, I could roll my fenders.

Any insight would be MUCH apprecaited!
Thanks!
