Help, Toyo T1R or Falken FK452
Hey, I've narrowed down my tire selection to two after search and comparison. Now I'm stuck between these two and they look pretty much the same to me. May anyone enlighten me as to the pros and cons of Toyo vs Falken. I'm finally looking to get tires next week, after spending three months sleeping with my naked LMGT4s.

Mainly got Falken threads but you get the point....if you SEARCH you can find all the info you want on either of these 2 tires withint 5 minutes
If you like cheap tires with soft sidewalls that overheat quickly and get unpredictable under braking(good think for abs!) then go with the T1-R's. If you like cheap tires that perform better than T1-R's but not as good as the moderately more expensive tires go with the FK452's. The FK452's are better in the wet, are not as squirmy under heavy braking and have a much stiffer sidewall. That's from my personal experience. Good luck with your choice.

What I have gotten from the threads is that the Toyo sidewalls are softer than the Falken = less cornering grip, but stiffer compound = longer life, but how much longer?
i bought the Falkens over the Toyos frankly due to price and they are supposed to last longer. I have had a set of T1-S Toyos and was happy with them but having said that the 452s have been great handlers for my ZR on dry hot roads. Have only been in the rain twice with the ZR in the 3 months I have had them (drought) but they worked fine then.

nihilation hit it pretty much on the head.
t1rs have really soft sidewalls and are very unpredictable under 'hard driving'.
for the same price you can get the bridgestone re050a or the goodyear f1 gsd3 ... which is a far superior tire in the dry and wet.

I am going to go with the Goodyyear Eagle f1gsd3. All the review on the forums and over the interwebs have been good. Little pricey, but don't waste 600 dollars instead spend 1k and have good tires. (learned the hardway
