Default whats the deal with 19" tires????

Im trying to find a shop that will transfer my tires from my LE's to my Time attacks, and NO ONE WILL DO IT!!! they all keep saying basically the same thing, afraid the tire will rip, afraid they will scratch the rim, car too low for the ramp etc etc. Its really ending up to be a horrible situation. I am going to try west covina nissan tomorrow, they always seem to pull through. Sorry just had to vent.

Has anyone else had this problem in southern Cali?

yea, i have the 19*9.5 fronts and 19*10.5 rears. i went to west covina nissan and they said they couldnt take the tires off the 19*10.5 since its too wide and the wheel machine they have will damage the rim.

Frank said they were looking into getting a new tire machine but i dont think they ever got one.

good luck and let me know if you find a good shop that will do this.

If you choose a certain shop make sure they:
-They have experience with 19 inch tire's
-Their tire machine has rubber or plastic end pieces on fork that grabs the rim
-The tire wrench thing they use to seat the bead has a groove in it no deeper than 1/4 inch
-They know how to reverse mount rims

Good year screwed up my iforged rims because i didn't do my research
