Default Where did my rear tires go??

Got a set of Cooper Zeon Sport A/S tires back in December 06. Just rolled 15K miles on them, and the dealership is telling me that my back tires are just about done. WTF!

I have not spun these tires or anything. My Z is my daily driver so I've been gentle on it, since I bought it. I've kept up with maintenance, religiously, to include checking my tire pressure weekly.

Now I gotta go get some new back tires... Any recommendations? I've searched, but can't seem to make up my mind on a particular set. I wanna stick with All Season's if possible. Thanks.

How about you check tread depth yourself?

Ok, looks like the center was wearing more than the outer edges of the tire.

Here's what I got, with the Penny test.
First block (closest to the center of the car) lincoln's forehead.
Second block (center of the tire) top of lincoln's head
third block (center of the tire) top of lincoln's head
fourth block (outer edge) lincoln's forehead

not sure why there's so much difference. I've kept tire pressure at 34-36psi and they're balanced and aligned correctly.

Dealership said I'm at 4/32 and at 2/32 the tires are legally bald.

This is typical of over inflation. I like the penny test. More reliable than the dealer. Looks like it is time for new tires.

If your paying $110 per tire, your getting what you pay for. Not much.

If you want a set of fun tires for drifting or burn outs, Cooper is fine. But if you want performance and safety on the street, get some respectable tires.
