A lot depends on what kind of driving you plan on doing but the normal up-sized 18" tires are 245/40/18 and 275/40/18. 295 sounds too wide for 9½" wheel.

my driving is basically daily driven,
maybe a little push here and there
but just the norm driving

so you recommend 275 in the rear, and 255 or 265 in the front?

The next step up would be like 255/35 and 285/35. That size is significantly "shorter" than stock so you'll have some speedo/odometer error.

285's are about the widest recommended for a 9½" wheel. While you could use wider in certain situations (autocross, drag), you don't want to go to extremes for a daily driver.

295s you're going to need a 10.5" wheel on the rears. 275s should be your limit on 9.5"

For a daily driven car with 18x9.5 all around I would recommend 255 or 265/35/18 front and 275/35/18 rear. The 275 and 295 combo is more for an aggressive street/track setup.
