Default 2004 18" touring to 2003 18" track rays

thinking of buying some track rays, anyone upgraded from their touring wheels to track rays? (stock tires)

can you feel the difference in handling?
Is the car quicker?

You won't feel any difference. You're only talking about a few lbs per wheel. In theory, yes, they handle better and there is a slight performance improvement.

The track rears are 18x8.5" vs. 18x8" all around on the touring. You could probably run a little bit wider tire on the rears. But like dave said nothing too drastic in change.

I personally felt the difference on my Maxima when I swapped my crappy Potenza RE92s for Falken ZX 512s. The Falkens were 4-5lbs lighter, and to me there was definitely a notable difference.

My guess is that what you felt was the difference in tire performance, not the weight.

I meant a difference in low-end acceleration.

He's talking about the wheels not the tires. Tires are the number 1 difference maker in most applications.

It doesn't matter if you have lightweight rims or tires, you're still removing unsprung weight. All I'm trying to say is that when you remove a decent amount of weight from tires or rims, you should feel a slight difference in acceleration. So I'm answering the OP by telling him what he'd feel with rays.
