Default will 265/35ZR18 tires fit on a 8.5" wide rim?

I'm looking at getting 265/35ZR18 Kumho v700 tires and I need to know if they'll fit on a 8.5" wide rim? Thanks.

The NISMO wheel is 8.5 inches. What tire width does NISMO recommend?

Thank you everyone for the info. That is the best tire calculator I've seen, since it includes the wheel width range. That's just what I was looking for. Plus, I got some good info in a private message. Looks like I'll be able to use that tire!

I ran a BFG KD 265/35/18 on my 8.5-inch rim, the tire fit on the rim just fine, although 265 may be pushing it a bit (sidewall flex, etc). I did have some rubbing problems under high braking or turning load (or both), which ended up putting small cuts on my tires, causing them to blister prematurely on the sides. If you're turning/braking hard, keep an eye on them. Oh also I think my rim offsets were +.22 or something, and I should have probably been running +.26 or so - this 4mm might have prevented the rubbing.

Sidewall will be way too bulgy with a 265 on just an 8.5" wide wheel. Just because a tire fits doesn't mean you should run with it. It will look awkward.

I had 265/35/18, on my 2003 track wheels. It was fine with minimal sidewall flex. I used in autoX events too and it was a great improvement over stock tire sizes.

That looks like a truck tire. You should have gone with 35 series profile.

Looks like it fits to me...

What it does to the sidewall is another topic entirely tho.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll be posting some pics as soon as I get the tires mounted. To address any rubbing issues that come up, I'll be playing around with some wheel spacers.

That's the good thing about this forum. You can get any answer that you want.

They fit pretty good. They look like they're bowing in a little bit in the middle of the tire but hopefully not enough to cause any problems. There's no rubbing though. I'm using 5mm spacers but I don't think they would even rub without them.

im actually thinking of going 275/35/19 bridgestone pole positions since they have such better reviews . but wonder how would they fit and look on my stock GT 07 wheels for the rear only....because i would be keeping the front tires re50a because they have tons of thread on them while the back as pole postions. What do ya think.

If you have stock suspension you should be fine if you have the right offset. If you have it converted to a true coilover setup in the back and it's lowered you might have some rubbing depending on the offset you have.

No, I don't have any pix of it on the car if that's what you're asking, I just put the wheel on to check for any clearance issues, then put the stock wheel back on. The reason you're having to use such large spacers is probably because the stock track wheels have a much different offset than my wheels. Mine have a 32. What does the stock track wheel have for the front?
