Feeler: Volk TE37 custom black
Guys, I am trying to figure out what price I could ask/get for my rims. I really wanted to go to a smaller diameter, and would in all likeliness get TE37s all over again. I love them.
I have:
Volk TE37 custom powdercoated satin black
19x8.5 +22 (255/35 eagle GSD3)
19x10.5 +35 w/ 15 mil spacers (275/35 eagle GSD3)
they come with:
1 set of black powdercoated Ray's lug nuts, one set of blue racing lugs, open ended, 1 set of blue ray's valve stems, flat type matched center caps
**they would also come with tires, but they are not worth anything IMO, the rears are shot and the one front has a small bubble. enough to drive them on if someone picked them up, but I would recommend taking them off if I had to ship it.
damages:
- there is a mar on one lip from some road debris, about half an inch long I would estimate.
- two rims (one front one rear) have damage on the inner lip from a goddamn car wash... I swear I asked them specifically if the rims would be ok, and they ensured it, but they were not. sadly I didn't notice it until the car was on the lift... oh well, live and learn.
the entire lip around the diameter of the rims are chewed up
what would you do? I can get them repowdercoated for minimal amount to re-freshen them and make them perfect again, or sell 'as is' for a discount.
what is a reasonable price you would pay for these (if you were looking and had the money) and which option would you choose for the damage, theoretically?
thanks,
Tom

the front offset is a +22, as anyone else runs... not many guys run a +15 or lower supercrazyjdm offset
and I thought the rear +35 was a good thing, as a spacer allows you to run a lot of different tires that a low offset does not.
if you wanted to mount up 3x5 super wide race tires in the back, a +20 offset will not work unless stupidly cambered, but a +30 or similar offset would allow this fitment.
the front 8.5 runs a 255 and could run a 265, and why go larger if the suspension is setup properly?
(I am just theorizing here, not ranting!)

To prospective buyers -- I've seen them several times and those rims look hot in person.
MM- sorry about the bad luck with the wash. Good luck figuring out what you are going to do.

yeah, I just really don't want to buy tires again!!! lol, but I was thinking of buying a set of 18s, getting the tires off these rims and selling them for 1500.
or I'll get them powdercoated and cleaned up in any color for an additional 200 or so.
