Default Volk LE-37's

Anyone here have the volk LE-37's in mid to high rear offsets (10.5" width wheel)? Just curious, I see the majority of ppl go with the +22 combo.

I think the only lower offset than +22 on the TE's is +12

I read in the past that some people have problems fitting that under the wheel well without some rolling and creative tire choices.. It looks to me like with +12 you get a bigger lip.. the spokes look the same in terms of concaveness

This G35 has +12's .. not sure of the widths tho.. it's team emotion's G35..

I dont have Volks (unless you count the Track Rays), but my observations are similar to yours, it seems most do go with the +22 setup in the rear.

That said, the only reason I can think as to why one would go with a 10.5 rear with a higher offset is to accommodate a larger tire width, is this the case? I always wonder why one would purchase a performance wheel and opt for an undersized tire in the name of looks and fit. For instance, I run a 255 on the Rays 8.5" track rear, and most folks here run a 275 series on a 10.5 in wheel. Two inches more wheel width, only 20mm more tire. Go figure.

^ I HAVE seen the LE37s offered in a +35 rear offset in a 10.5" wheel. This is ideal for me, especially if I want to run 295's in the rear. But I'm curious if anyone has maybe a +26 to +30.... that would even be better. Anyways, the +22 is not ideal. Mike, looking for HIGHER offsets then +22, not lower.

295's with a +22 should already clear with a good fender roll, why do you need to go to a higher offset?

no way homie. +22 with 295's will not work unless I slam the car, cut the fenders, run neg camber, and slam the car. I need beefier rear tires to handle the HP, not to mention the most contact I can get to the ground.

I've only seen 1 or 2 people run the 10.5 +35 offfset in the rear. It looks the same as the +22 but the spokes aren't as concave. Mike's white G35 pictured above has the normal +22 10.5 in the rear, and a 9.5 +12 in the front.

It's amazing how so many people don't understand offsets and its adverse effect to performance, this includes some vendors as well. I agree with you only because I have lots of HP and lots of camber and offset. I'm like you, but I think i'm going to end up ordering mine.

Do you mind taking a look at my thread "Offset and rim depth question?" Give me your opinion on that as the two guys that have responded seem confused....or maybe its me?

You do realize the G35 also has a wider wheel well then the 350z, right? The G35 pictured above is probably running 275 series tires AND the camber appears to be slightly more negative then stock which is probably helping with the clearance. MOST ppl who do the TE37's with the +22 offset do 275 width tires. It has the stretched look, and it isnt for me. The +35 series rear offsets may look like the +22, as far as flushness goes, but the other factors are different (such as tire choice options).

Most people with LE37's in a +22 offset run 285's in the rear. I could swear I've seen 295's with no problem. You will need to roll the fender, but that should be NP.

^ LOL! That's exactly my point, look how far it extends outside the wheel well. He can only get away with it because it rides so high. If he lowers it, he will be screwed. the fenders will literlaly CUT into the tires, even with a roll. hahah

I want at least 295's, so no.. +22 won't be ideal. Those who are running 285s with +22 have tires in the rear that are not flush and come a bit OUTSIDE of the wheel well, which I absolutely despise. They also are probably running a bit negative camber to make it work.

Alberto on here runs 285's on +22 LE's with a lot of his camber removed for traction. He is also lowered over 1" and doesn't rub (fenders rolled), see what he did. The difference from 285 to a 295 is so little (less than half an inch). I would pull some camber out to pick up traction.

^ I just love the LE's, should have goten them from the beginning. The iforged I picked up are similar spoke design as the LE's. But anyways, just thinking about this for now... not saying I will actually pick a set up....
