I have a friend with the SPT's on his S2000. They are an excellent tire with ALOT of grip, low noise, and a good looking tread pattern. Also cant really beat the price for the performance.

Ive had several other Kuhmo tires on various cars, including the Supra 712's and KH 11's and they have always been top notch. Very good wet and dry traction. Im disappointed to see they dont make the SPT's in the 245/45/18 size for my Z.

Go with the Kuhmo's. You will definetly be happy.

you're going to have an issue with the ecu / traction control because the tire wall is a higher # in the front and a smaller one in the rear.

i don't think i explained it correctly, but i bought my little brother 30 series in the rear and the front had 35 series and the ecu / traction control went nuts.

I have had Kumhos on two different vehicles, and was happy with them in both cases (still happy in one).

Do you happen to have an up close pic of how this setup looks?

I had Kumho Ecstas on my RSX, they were I'd say middle of the pack as far as traction was concerned, they struck me as the type of tyre that performs, then loses traction without warning. Some like that type of feedback, but me personally I'd like a little warning when I'm at the end of the envelope.

Also, wet traction was ok, I encountered the worse thunderstorm of my life on I-75 and I was still able to safely do 60 mph while other cars were skidding all over the place doing 10mph less than me.

Best answer so far , 8.5 wheel is fine for the 265. Dunlop RE0050 , and federal tires both have a good tire in the proper size for you.

you will feel soft side wall with 275/40/18. Try 245/40/18 front and 265/40/18 or 255/40/18 rear. Even though treadwear is 320. I only have it last 20k miles!!!

Not at all , and you should be able to run a 20mm wheel spacer along with the drop to flush the wheels up a bit.
