Default Which tire setup is closest to stock?

Sorry if this has bene asked, searching through all the old threads is a nightmare...I gave up after 10 minutes.

Anyway, I was wondering what the closest to stock setup is for the 03 track model

18x8 in front and 18x8.5 in rear

I was thinking of going 245's in front and 265's in rear...but do I need 245/40-18 in the front or 245/45-18?

And do I need to go with 265/40-18 or 265/45-18 in the rear? I'm planning on getting the Goodyear F1 tires if that makes a difference...

The reason I ask is because I know the speedometer can show inaccurate readings if you change the tire dimensions...and I would like to keep it as accurate as possible

Which Goodyear Eagle F1 tire are you planning to install?

There are several tires labeled F1 from Goodyear.

Here is the stock tire sizes:

OEM Bridgestones Potenza RE040 on 18" wheels:
225/45 ZR18 Overall Diameter - 25.9"
245/45 ZR18 Overall Diameter - 26.7"

Nismo 18" wheels (wheel widths: front is 8.5" and rear is 9.5")
Recommended tire sizes for Nismo wheels:
245/40-18"
275/40-18"

Keep close to the overall diameter measurements and you will be fine.

you might have problem finding 265/45 or 265/40 sizes.

just go with 275/40/18, they are very close to oem diameter.

Ztalker is correct. You may have a problem finding tires in a 265mm width with the correct aspect ratio. The choices for your rear tires are 245/45-18” or 275/40-18”.

Note: Your rear wheel width (8.5”) is a little less than the tire manufacturer’s specification for 275/40-18”.

The section and tread width difference between 245's and 255's is insignificant. You won't see the difference or experience any difference when driving the car. Your wheels (8.0" and 8.5" widths) will work best with these tire sizes:

225/45-18" front and 245/45-18" rears if you want a staggered width setup.

If you decide you want an all-square width setup, you could install 245/40-18 front and 245/45-18" rear. Be advised you won't have under-steer with this setup.

Your rear wheels are not wide enough to go with a significant staggered setup which would be 245/40-18" front and 275/40-18" rear.
