Default 235/40f 245/40r

Do you guys think this will work without tripping the ABS / VDC?

The front rpm=794. Dimension diff = -0.5 (25.4 vs 25.9) 1.9%

Rear rpm = 784. Dimension diff = -1.0 (25.7 vs 26.7) 3.75%

front:rear diff = -0.3 vs -0.8 (stock)

It's close, but, the front tires will wear faster so the rpm difference will increase on the front.

I've already ordered the tires and so i'm looking for some confirmation before I mount them.

Doubt you'll have any problems. I run the 245/40F and 255/40R with no issues.

I've got 245/40-19 Front, & 255/40-19 Rear - no problems at all.

cam, you ordered tires already?
are yours that worn down? if not maybe i can buy your old rear tires if they are in decent shape, i want to do 245's for the front and 265's for the rear. but until mine wear out i hate to buy new tires, so maybe i could run 245's all the way around until then :-D

Thank you guys for posting. Looks like I should be okay. If not, I'll just turn off the VDC and pull the plug on the ABS.

I'm trying to cut out as much understeer as possible for my Canada trip. I was a little concerned the 245 on the front would reduce the effectiveness of the sidewalls because the tire was not being stretched across the wheel. Not sure if anyone has tracked the Z yet and was able to tell the effectiveness of the 245 over the 225s. Feedback will definitely be appreciated because this car needs a 245 up front!

Eric1, my fronts are fairly worn at 6500miles due to the toe-out and the two days of track time. The rears are in great shape. I will be taking the Re40s to Canada as a backup plan in case the Toyos don't last the whole 6.5 days. If I have anything left at the end of my trip, I will let you know.

Cameron

BTW, this forum ROCKS!
