Default denied mount size at goodyear

I'm hoping someone can give me a quick double check on this. I'm trying to get a set of 245/45/17s mounted on my FRONT tires on a stock Z suspension. Goodyear said they won't fit, can someone confirm if this will or will not fit?

That would depend on how wide are the wheels.

They are the stock 17" Nissan wheels, they are 7.5" wide.

I was just doing some searches for you Chase and it seems like thats the recommending size as far as 245s go on the stock fronts.

if you have the factory 17inch wheels from 2003-2005 ( i believe it is) they are only 7.5inch. They SHOULD fit though.....

The OEM front wheel is 7.5 inches wide, and calls for a 225 mm tire. Apparently Goodyear is not willing to put a 245mm tire on a 7.5 inch wheel.

According to the 1010tires.com calculator it fits within the manufacturer's specification for a 7.5" rim. The 225s are designed to fit a 6-8 inch rim and the 245s are designed to fit a 7.5-9" rim.

Mounted...works fine...no rubs. Happiness and joy are mine. Thank you all.

imo, it's kinda pushing it

you might get some sidewall flex, which will decrease handling

It depends on what the specific tire manufacturer recommends. For example, I checked Goodyear's website and the Eagle F1 All-Season 245/45R17 approved rim widths are 7.5 - 9.0. What brand & type tire is it?
