Exclamation Question about Stock Tires

I have stock 2004 17" rims. Im looking for tires for temporary use.

I have a pair of:
235/50/17 in the rear
225/50/17 in the front

Would it work if i did
225/45/17 in the front
235/50/17 in the rear

or would it create problems with vdc and such?

Thanks

Kinda of a big change from 225/50 to 225/45 (3.41%) 25.85 to a 24.97 OD in the front..

You should adjust the size in the rear to compensate, ie drop to a 235/45

And because this confused me: rewritten

Circumference of rear tires is 5.1 percent greater than front tires. Stock difference is 2.7 percent. This may be a problem with VDC.
