Default Installation ? on hubcentric spacers

I fill stupied for asking. But I don't know. Have not attemped to install yet. I have some Ichiba hubcentric spacer to install this weekend. And of course you have hubcentirc rings that goes with your wheels and will be placed on the outside of the spacer. Here's the dumb part. But does a hubcentric ring go behind the spacer also where it butts up to the hub? It looks from the design that one fits there, but at the same time I doubt it does. Maybe it's just the design to get the hubcentric on the wheel side.

i just ordered them too, and are installing them right now actually. came to look at the diy stud removal. anyways, the 25mm rears already have pre pressed studs in them and 10 holes (5 for the oem studs+5bolts to tighten them down) and the other 5 have the new studs. thats an easy swap in. now for the 15mm set, you have to take out the old studs, and put in the supplied longer studs. the hubcentric hub goes on first, then the actual spacer goes on after. heres a quick couple pics.

normal hub (yucky, i know)

hubcentric hub goes on like this

and spacer fits over it (note these are on oem studs, just for a quick how to, the supplied studs are much longer)

hope this helps vizage

I bought wheels from TireRack. The ring was tapped in place inside the wheel.

the hub ring for your wheels stays with your wheels, they'll mount up to the hub ring that is shown in the pics above. The Hub rings for wheel spacers basically extend the existing hub, as the spacers themselves over it up.

Thanks. I understand. But my spacers don't have a hub ring. There only 10mm though. But I do have to swap all the studs.

With just a 10mm spacer, I don't think you'll need to swap the studs.

the 15mm spacers leave little room (i wouldnt trust my rims being held on by a few threads) however my kit comes with extralong studs. searching the diy threads, i came across the stud removal thread. the front uses either 20/21mm socket (didnt get top it yet, no sockets that big. blah), the rear uses 19mm to remove the caliper. so i didnt get to do the front last night.

They came with studs though. It wouldn't hurt to test fit them to see if I don't. I would have to get a least just over five turns with my hands only before I used the factory studs. I probably will just change out.

yup, change them out. Atleast have to get 8 turns by hand. Changing it out is easy DIY project as long as you have an open ended lug nut.
