I just had new tires put on, and they checked all the sensors - they all work fine. I've had a single wheel showing --- for some time, but I figured it was a bad sensor. I guess that was wrong. So, what could be the problem? I'm not very familiar with how the system works - is there one receiver for all, or one for each wheel?

Thanks. BTW, I couldn't find an answer on a search, but if this has been discussed before then perhaps someone can point me to the right thread.

 

How do you know that all four work?

There are two possibilities:
1) A sensor is dead
2) Something happened to the ECU and it lost the ID for one sensor. The dealer can reprogram the car to recognize all four IDs.

 

The tire place said all four sensors checked out, so I guess I'm making a trip to the dealer. Thanks for the reply.
