falken or toyo?
getting new tires this week and i was wondering if anyone has any input on Falken Azenis RT-615's.....i know they are a great performance tire...but im just curious about a daily driven tire(wet conditions and day to day commute).....or if i should just go with the ever so popular Toyo T1R?
(yes i already searched...found nothing on the Azenis)

I love my 615's , but they are only used for autocross and HPDE. IMO they sidewalls are way to still for daily driving and would probably go with T1r's. Wet weather grip is suppost to be horrible too , i havnt driven mine int he rain yet , and dont want to ont he slick azz Vegas roads. Cali roads would probably be a lot better for them in the rain.

I love my RT615s. One of the best tires I've owned. I have my HKS coilovers set on the stiffest setting so my ride is harsh anyway (not sure if the 615s contribute to that or not). I will say that wet traction with these things is not good. I've had some scares in the rain and I say "no" to snow. I tried to drive in a light amount of snow once and I was scared shitless. The car was all over the place. I had Civics and Mirages passing me right and left.
My next tires will be RT615s again, though. That's how happy I am with the dry performance.

I am a big fan of my new FK452s though. I actually grip in Vegas
I don't think you can really beat the price of them either.

Falken FK 452, all around/street, great thread life, can't beat price for what you get.
Falken Azenis RT-615, kills people...
Toyo T1R, more geared towards performence/street, less thread life, can't beat price for great performence

I have T1Rs right now and before on my 03 I had RT615s. I have to admit that the 615 are slippery but damn fun to drive with . I think I would've gotten the 615s again if they made them in 19in. But then again I have no complaints what so ever on thr T1Rs, awesome performance!
