Default Any 19" rims out there that are light, and have a polished lip?

Anyone know any? I'm thinking about getting GT-C's, but I don't wanna regret it becuase of their weight....I don't know if it's gonna make a big difference in performance, but I'm assuming it will (feel free to correct me if otherwise).....I was thinkin of gettin 19" I-forge rims, but they cost mad loot, and I missed the groupbuy....can anyone help me out?

p.s. anyone know where I can get pricing for I-forge's 19" 2-peice rims, i think their site only list prices for the 3 peice...

I have the GT-C's 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rears. the fronts weigh 21lbs and the rears 24lbs. I have Toyo Proxes mounted 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. The front tires weigh 24 lbs and the rears 27 lbs. The tires weigh more than the wheels.
So total is 45 lbs front and 51 lbs rear.
The stock 18" non-Rays wheel/ tire combo weighed 55 lbs front and 63 lbs rear. For a weight savings of 10 lbs a wheel front and 12 lbs a wheel rear for a total of 44 lbs total unsprung weight savings.

are you sure??

I weighed the stock touring wheels, they were 54-F and 56-57-R, my iForged were 19x8-f with Toyos (lite tires) were 49 and Rear was 19X10=56lbs. I seem to remember GT-Cs weighing MUCH more than what you weighed.

that is pretty light, he says they weigh 52-F and 56-R, with FALKENS (I have NO idea if those are considered "light" tires or not, my guess by his weights are that they are pretty light tires and the wheels are pretty light as well, given the size, and cost).

here is what my Toyos alone weighed, this is an old quote when I got them

"one of the reasons I went with the Toyo T1-S was for the great performance (some say that they are "unmatched" for anything even close to this price).

another reason I payed a little extra is b/c I didn't want to "gain weight" going to the 19" wheels

I just weighed them

fronts (245/45/19)=23lbs (claimed 22.7, which they very well maybe, I only used a scale that shows to the .5 lbs)

Rear (275/45/19)=28.5 (claimed is 27.8, that was a little bit more off than I expected, but still NOT to bad, many times people "claim" a whole lot different than reality.)

in contrast the S0-3 are (claimed) F=28lbs, R=32lbs."

it is important to remember, NOT all BATH scales are accurate, never use a "CLAIMED" # for weights (I learned this in my mountain biking days), and after a wheel is mounted and balanced, it weighs more than just the tire and wheel individually.

I don't think any member here is trying to lie, just trying to do the best we (they) know how, given the info and equipt

These GT-C weights seem a little low. TE-37 which are forged weigh 20~21lbs.
The GT-C's weights that I've seen before have been like 26~27lbs.
GT-C's have a cast center with a forged outer ring, I think they weigh more than one pound over an all forged rim.

it'l prolly run ya about 50-75 a rim, it wont mess up the rim at all, and it wont add any weight, if anything , it'll take off a miniscual amount of weight by removing the panit thats on the rim (not enough to notice any difference though)

IIRC the te37 is a CAST wheel and NOT forged

I beg to differ.
They have "FORGED" stamped right there on the side of the rim.

I'm not saying any member here is trying to lie or gives the wrong info.
I just want to be sure those GT-C's with Toyo tire are lighter then stock 18" non Rays wheel/tire combo.
