by the way I just dont understand some of you guys who are about over the top drops, could someone explain it to me please? are you guys into the air suspension style, is that what it is ??
It's like yall are trying to make your fenders touch your lips.... am I the only one that feels lowering your car to where fender to lines up directly with the top of the tire is perfect...
I've seen D&G35 post up his pics and people are telling him to go lower,
it's just ridiculous to me....... PERFECT DROP AND WHEELS BY THE WAY D.... don't change a thing.

yup yup.. you're right, back in the day they did it to fit bigger wheels while nowadays it's for looks.
My opinion on the whole thing is, it's only to achieve that gangster look and stance, there's is nothing technical or performance approved about stretching tires and going all out with crazy camber.
I mean.... even the people that did it to fit bigger wheels make no sense with it, because why do people get wider wheels in the first place ?? so they can have a bigger contact patch and be able to put more power to the ground and handle better....
so it makes absolutely no sense to get a wider wheel and then have it fitted with a skinnier tire while going over the top with camber settings... None of that serves a performance purpose.

nosurf sorry I should have been more specific, but when I say performance I meant road racing, not drifting. Your explanation applies to drifting, and it's correct since yes their type of driving style benefit from having their tires and camber set up in this way.
But I was talking about road racing, and I've yet to see a road racing car with stretched tires and crazy camber.
and jdmrwd if you disagree with any of my statements, try disproving it with some facts instead of empty sarcasm. You might wanna take some notes from nosurf he came thru
and to try and make up for the off topic chatter here's a few more pics of my setup that's still incomplete. As you can see I still have PLENTY of clearance from my tire to fender and I'm sure most of you guys would opt to fill that space with by using a larger spacer, I've decided instead to eliminate as much camber as possible filling it that way. And yesss my fenders are fully cut, I cut them myself... chose not to roll them as is the custom typically

Different strokes for different folks. Why do you even bother? It has been argued before, questions has been answered before. Why do people do anything, cause they like it. Whether its for show or performance. I personally love the slammed & aggressive look,..stretch not to much but I don't mind it. Sometimes it does seem over-beyond.

Adon, now that I can agree with. I do it because of the look and for no other reason. There is no way in hell I would drift my car. Too much time and money has gone into it.
And I have the same question, your white, that looks hot, what did you do?

it's actually satin white, satin is a split between flat/matte and gloss. I took the color code of the Lambo Gallardo thats called Balloon White.
here's the Gallardo

here's an old picture from a month ago that a friend just posted and i forgot about. this is before i played with the camber arms so it's actually at around -3 in the picture. right now i have to get the battle version toe arm that replaces the spring bucket so i can drive around on -6 camber. getting them after my vacation from the bahamas

Adon,
Car looks good,, love that color. It also seems like you have a little stretch going on your tires..nice.
BLUby,
Man car looks good, now I need some pics of you getting that thing side ways.
hatchboi,
Love that camber in the back, shoot I must be at around -4 or -5 camber then if that is -6. Or even -6. have any more pic of the car with that camber setting?

hey guys I know we're all concerned with our shiny lips on the outer side, and we try to protect them, but doesn't more negative camber leave the interior side of the lip closer to the ground and less protected?
so I was wondering what the limit on negative camber before it gets to the point where it's dangerous, and the inner lip is a lot closer to the ground than the outer lip. So with a tire going even over the smallest bump not being able to absorb the pressure allowing the inner lip to make contact with the pavement possibly cracking it.
I'm at -3.5 right now and I'm already slowing down for every pothole I see, it freaks me out.
What would be a reasonably safe camber setup ? or does it really depend on if you're riding on 30 series or 35 series tires ?
