obviously people need to learn that street tires just cant handle above a certain amount of power. look at a viper or even an sl55/65 they easily spin through tires probably no matter how wide. viper has wat, 345's? get some drag radials if you wanna go straight.

Well I personally cant afford to replace my tires every month. I went thru a set of 295 drag radials in 3 weeks. Broke college kid FTL

me 2, im in college as well. i cant help but to question your decisions, but its your money, so i respect that, and will leave it at that. but it also comes down to "you gotta PAY to play".

if you can afford to buy a z, mod it, and make it fi, and you cant afford tires...dunno what to tell you.

what happens if your motor blows? tires are the minmal cost by then.

Thats the problem, I had money before I went to college, had a great high paying job all that. Then couldnt find a job that payed over $9 once I moved for college. Oh well.

There's no good reason for stretching tires.

So, don't, since your tires can't handle it.

i never said anything about stretching tires in that post. why even bring it up. it was in reference to 335's on a z just in case you missed that, which you obviously did.

The eastwood is what i used, and it is NOT good for slammed car, with tight suspension, as your wheel hub is pulled up tightly up towards the fender--the eastwood arm is too tall for those applications

Make sure you use a heatgun (i used the midpriced Wagner heat gun from OSH) and use LOTS of patience when heating it up, heat it til it is paint-flexible, if it bubbles, just back off, the paint will settle flat again and readhere--don't freak out, it's normal and the paint is fine when it recools. I took about 1 hour per corner of the car. Expect to take that long if you plan to do a clean job; get a friend to help and hold the gun and heat as you slowly move back and forth inch at a time; it helps a lot that way. Yes, you WILL be sweating--it SHOULD get that hot for you to work on it
