Tire rack - not the company.
My wife gave me an early Christmas gift. I now have most of the tires off the floor. I still can't decide if I should keep the OE sedan 18's or the Z track wheels. I only need three complete sets - summer, winter, track.
The kits went up well and seem pretty sturdy. The load limit is 400lbs per rack.

Each rack uses two channels about 32" long. Each panel is secured with three lag screws, although my garage is double insulated with foam board behind the drywall and I needed to buy longer screws (3.5"). The sides of the rack slide in the channels and the width of the rack can be adjusted upto 52". The poles spanning between the sides are adjustable in length and in placement on the sides for differct size wheels.

Well, the racks didn't crash on my car last night, so I guess I got the studs.
I'm hard to buy for. When I need something or want something I either get it or never say anything. She took a guess that I hated my tires on the floor.

I'm 5'8" - only tall to four year olds and squirls.
I used a ladder and my oldest son. He lifted up to me, I lifted up to rack. I would say that if you hit studs and secure the tires inteh rack - bungee cord - it would be safe for the mother land.
